Every project has a unique context. The scope, setting, phase, decision processes and stakeholders affect the opportunities to incorporate user friendly and safe designs on any project. Understanding the project's context is critical to successful application of project goals. Context should be viewed as both a constraint and an opportunity.
The risk shall be managed and there is a large toolbox out there that will help project owners to manage the risks. The clue is to know which tools are most suitable.
Skipstad HMS has managed several large offshore projects from concept phase through FEED, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning and into operation. Our WE management philosophy is based on a systematic and structured approach. We want to keep it simple, use well known methods and only perform activities that adds value. We want to involve end users in our work. After all they represent valuable experience and knows best what is needed.
