Working Environment in Oil and Gas industry
WE - General
Working Environment (WE) activities should be carried out in all project phases. In early stages (concept definition, FEED) lack of design details will be the limiting factor and experience transfer is then important input. As the concept matures and the project proceeds, more details will be available, and the WE activities can be performed and documented with less uncertainty.
The working environment shall be managed so that the WE risk are controlled. A structured, tested and proven step by step based approach should be the format for managing all the activities which must be performed.
In order to understand scope and define how to manage one must follow these five basic steps:
- Define context
- Define WE management system
- Perform WE activities
- Verify
- Validate
WE - The process
Many activities are required during a project to ensure that working environment is designed to suite the users.
Its important that the activities are well organized and planned. As with everything else in the world its better to do it right the first time. Many of the activities are pending each other and a structured approach is quite useful. It might save some headaces and we are confident it will provide value for money.
Let us guide and help you to organize your activities.
WE - Activities
There are many different activities required to be performed. The clue is however to define a set of activities which leads you to the best design within budget.
We want to ensure regulations are met but in doing so there is no one stopping us from working smart. You need someone that understand the processes and knows why the activities should be performed. After all, running an activity without knowing why, is not value for money.
We know these activities very well and can help establish the activities required to comply with regulations.
A list of typical activities and some info about each of them are provided here.
